Azola is a second-year LLB Law student at the University of the Western Cape. He has always been taught and reminded of the importance of education. He wants to give back and instill the same values to his learners. He enjoys working with children and understands the difficulties that children face in Mathematics and that is why he joined Numeric to give back.

Brinley is a 3rd year Education student at the UWC. He believes it's his calling in life to become a teacher and change the world. He has a special place for Maths in his heart. His ultimate goal is to give back to the community what has been given unto him. He joined Numeric because he wants to be part of an organisation that's passionate about empowering young minds. He enjoys sports with soccer being his absolute favourite; he is an avid Manchester United supporter. He loves to run and compete in 10km races with the aim of reaching 21km's before 2020.

Bongiwe is a final year Bachelor of Science student at UCT, pursuing Oceanography and Environmental Science. For her, it has been a privilege to have been part of Promaths and SAEP which are programmes similar to Numeric. Her first-hand experience has been an encouragement to possibly inspire two or more learners to dream beyond any circumstance. Above all, her dream is to see polar lights (aurora)

Fadwah is an Education student at UWC. She has a passion for Maths and believes that with Maths we can change the world. Every learner should experience the subject with great joy. As a future Mathematics teacher Fadwah wishes to change our generations thinking about Maths. In her free time, she volunteers in her community to help uplift the youth. She enjoys baking, the outdoors, problem solving and always pushes herself to try something new no matter how scary it may seem.

Masixole, also known as Max, is a third year Bachelor of Education student at the University of the Western Cape, majoring in Languages. He is well-organized, hardworking, determined and keen to contribute to the development of his community and his country. His love for Maths cannot be measured. He is very passionate about teaching and believes he was born to bring change in the education system. His classroom is informative and fun, he would like to pass his passion of loving and enjoying playing with numbers to his learners.

“I started to believe in myself the way he believed in me and decided that I was not going to settle”, said Pabalelo Ramokgobong describing how her high school mathematics teacher changed her life.    She is now the first in her family to go to University, studying towards a BSc in Applied Statistics and Computer Sciences at UCT and has her teacher to thank for that. She says he changed her perspective about mathematics and really inspired her.  She has now joined our family to be that teacher to our kids.   Numeric to her is a combination of two of her favourite things, her love for kids and the love for mathematics.  She simply feels at home.

Pelokazi is a third year student at University of Cape Town. She is a fun energetic person and enjoys interacting and inspiring children. She has great love for both children and mathematics. She enjoys working with children and understands the difficulties that they face in mathematics. Putting smiles on other people's faces and changing lives is what she loves.

Phelokazi was born in Bizana, a small town in the Eastern Cape. She is a determined person who loves both children and has a burning desire for teaching. She is dedicated to challenging the misconceptions in Mathematics because she believes that Maths is fun as long as the more one does and sees, the more one will be able to do. Although she seems quiet, she is very approachable and easy to talk to. She is motivated by making a difference in the community and spreading light by being the candle or the mirror that reflects it.

Simamkele is fun and bubbly person. Second year student at UCT in Bachelor of Social Science majoring in psychology and Gender Studies. One of the greatest life lessons she learnt in psychology is that attitude influences behaviour. Her goal is to change the negative mind set towards mathematics by equipping the learners with mathematics skills and transferring the passion l have for mathematics to the learners so that they can also believe that maths is fun and easy and develop love for it.

Wandile is a second year Digital Media and Information Systems student at UCT. Wandile has been a coach for Numeric for the second year now, and has developed a love for teaching Mathematics. In the future Wandile sees reimagining and reconstructing how data is communicated as field to occupy and explore.
