  • Katlego Baloyi

    Katlego is a public speaker who likes reading, teaching and travelling. When he is in a classroom, he uses the great tools of Khan Academy to teach and inspire learners to score their ‘own’ goals in Mathematics. He does this by bringing fun into the learning environment through methodologies found on the Khan Academy platform, and inspired too by his own personal journey.

  • Julliet Chauke

    Julliet loves her name because of its meaning. She is a fan of cycling, and likes bikes and food (food makes her happy).Her aspiration in life is to be stable and happy. She loves language, and hence can speak six official languages. The seventh language she'd like to speak is Mathematics because its easy and super fun. If she had the opportunity to change the world then she would change people's sense of urgency to be better and for the world to speak all the worlds' languages. Julliet loves animals, especially dogs.

  • Nomcebo Dhlamini

    Nomcebo Dhlamini finds pleasure in seeing people grow academically and even greater satisfaction knowing that she helped in initiating that change. Knowing that without a strong mathematical foundation, frustration is what follows as years progress in the subject. She has dedicated herself in giving back to community and has found passion in moving our future leaders one step towards success. Above all, laughter and self-confidence is what makes her so it is what she will transfer to our leaders.

  • Sadiyah Dhodhat

    Sadiyah is currently studying BEd, a second year Intermediate Phase student at the University of Johannesburg, majoring in Mathematics and Science. She was inspired by the vision Numeric had for teaching children in Soweto and raising them to higher levels through math education. She absolutely relishes being part of the Numeric team and loves working with children. She hopes to inspire her learners, change their mindsets that math is hard and raise them to reach their full potential.

  • Thobile King

    Thobile is majoring in maths and physical science, and currently doing her last year. She is a news reader and co-presenter for the University Radio station, She also keeps fit by playing netball. Her other talents include being on TV as as the physical science guru for Geleza Nati on SABC1. She is also the head coach for Numeric Saturday program. Her rule is to never stop smiling!

  • Khensane Machebe

    Khensane is from Protea South. She is very energetic, attentive and her confidence drives her to be an inspirational teacher to the children. Her love for Maths has helped her to always apply her problem solving skills to navigate through life making logical decisions.

  • Dumisani Mahlangu

    Dumisani is from Meadowlands in Soweto. He has always enjoyed maths, and this made becoming a Maths teacher an easy decision for him. He loves to see kids learning and improving, and has dedicated his studies and extra-curricular activities to this goal.

  • Foster Makena

    Foster is a third year student at the University of Johannesburg studying a bachelor degree in Education. Foster enjoys working with numbers as well as doing a problem solving challenges in maths. His love for children and teaching is what made him a perfect candidate for such a prestigious position at Numeric as a Coach.

  • Tsholofelo Malapile

    Tsholofelo is a young man who very ambitious. He is a hard worker and he always asks for guidance from the experienced people who surround him. He studies teaching at the University of Johannesburg and joined Numeric at the beginning of the year.

  • Zaitoon Malgas

    Zaitoon, more affectionately known to her fellow coaches as “Zai”, grew up in Eldorado Park, Soweto. She is friendly, honest and gets along easily with other people. She loves playing netball, watching cartoons and boxing. She also loves African cultures and traditions. In addition to her varied interest, she is strong on Maths and enjoys spending her time helping kids to understand and enjoy maths.

  • Harry Maphake

    Harry grew up at Burgersfort and he is now a B.Ed student at the University of Johannesburg specializing in Mathematics and Physical Sciences. He is passionate about maths and he loves people no matter which attitudes they give him. Harry likes soccer, rugby, and cricket and he prefers listening to music when he is bored.

  • Nditamani Mavungu

    Nditamani was born and bred in Limpopo Venda. He is currently doing his 2nd year Bachelor of Education majoring in Mathematics and Life Science. He draws his inspiration from his older brother. He is passionate about working with people especially youth and making a difference in other's lives. He believes that all children can become anything that they want to be with the assistance of other people, especially teachers and parents.

  • Buyisile Mbebe

    Buyisile is a hard-working teacher in training and loves working with kids. He gets his kicks out of seeing kids both enjoy and understand maths. He has been coaching Maths at a primary school in Pimville since January 2014. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, and strongly believes that it was sport that gave him the discipline he has needed to succeed in life.

  • Wandile Mkhabela

    Wandile is a very enthusiastic person and likes laughing. The most important thing to him is education. He chose teaching because he wants to bring change in the children's lives and give them the things that he did not receive as a child. His role as a teacher is to correct the injustices that were done in the past.

  • Manqoba Mkwanazi

    Manqoba Mkwanazi is studying at UJ, doing Bachelor of Education 3rd year majoring in Mathematics and Physical Science. He is very passionate about teaching and believes he was born for this. During his spare time he likes contemplating on improving his teaching practice and how he can improve the lives of young people and of course likes playing and watching sports.

  • Zithobile Mncube

    Zithobile, more affectionately known as Zee, was born and raised in Soweto in a family of three. Zee is in her second year of a Bachelor of Education degree at UJ majoring in Maths and Life Sciences. Zee trained with Numeric in December and is an active member of Numeric’s coaching pool. Zee’s life revolves around other people, which makes teaching natural place for her to be.

  • Omphemetse Moeng

    Omphemetse is a God fearing young man from the North West Province in small village called Pella. He values his family as well as education. Omphemetse has always been a go-getter and never gave up on anything because he believes that he is a born winner. His hobbies are dancing, sports and reading. He joined Numeric because, he wants to enhance young minds and contribute positively to his country because maths is a very important subject that is "loved and enjoyed by few". His passion has forever been teaching.

  • Khumo Mogagole

    Khumo is a very self motivated individual. She believes that the only way to get things done, is when you do them yourself. She personally thinks that education is one thing that can change one's life. She also believes in empowering young girls. Teaching is in her blood, its a calling, its her life. If she wasn't studying BEd, then she would have studied BEd.

  • Donald Mokadi

    Donald is a religious and cool guy who loves singing with all his heart, especially choral music.He also enjoys cooking in his spare time. Watching TV is also one of his hobbies.He is currently doing third year at the University of Johannesburg as a mathematics teacher. He chose to be a teacher for only one reason which is to make a difference out there. His goal as teacher is to make Maths learning easier, enjoyable and fun for learners and to change the anxiety that they have towards the subject.

  • Lucy Mokalapa

    Lucy is a chilled soul, fun and bubbly. Teaching mathematics is her passion and being a numeric coach is one of her best experiences. She loves theme parks and music but not more than kids.

  • Mathapelo Mokoena

    Mathapelo is an intermediate phase second year student at the University of Johannesburg specialising in science and mathematics. She loves reading and writing. She has great skill in drawing and has good photographic memory. She loves working with children and feels that studying Bachelor of Education was one of the best career path choices she has made.

  • Lerato Molaba

    Lerato is a highly motivated and charismatic individual. She loves spending time with her friends and family, and also enjoys going to parks and nature reserves. Her inspiration to join Numeric is driven by the passion she has for maths and to support our future leaders, by building a solid mathematical foundation.

  • Refiloe Msimango

    Refiloe is a person who likes to connect with her inner self, so she enjoys reading a good book and playing board games as well as watching cartoons. Her inspiration comes from wanting to be part of people who are generating change in the community which means working with the young ones that she loves dearly. Seeing happy unconfused faces that carry bright futures fulfils her.

  • Nomagugu Msiza

    Nomagugu also known as "Gee" is a bubbly, friendly and approachable person. She is always full of energy, unites people and leaves a mark wherever she is placed. Gee believes in hard work and that it is only the fittest who survives. She is passionate about mathematics and would like to pass that on to her learners and help them achieve their goals. She is motivated by her late sister.

  • Thandeka Ncube

    Three words that best describe Thandeka are: Humble, Committed and God fearing. She enjoys music and loves giving. Not because she has plenty but because she knows how it feels to have nothing. Helping is in her genes and determination is her identity. If there's one thing that she has learned in life is to not let your circumstances determine your future.

  • Khethiwe Ndaba

    Khethiwe is very optimistic and lovable, or at least that's what most people say. She enjoys laughing and is shy but opinionated. She enjoys being around people in general but more specifically around her friends. She find pleasure in reading, writing and spending time with her loved ones.

  • Bonginkosi Ngidi

    Bonginkosi grew up in KZN and that is where he did his primary and secondary schooling. Now, he is a final year Maths Teacher student at UJ. He loves maths and he loves teaching it because it is fun!!!

  • Ndumiso Ngwenya

    Ndumiso is a kind, friendly and humble guy from Kwazulu Natal. Teaching is his passion and he enjoys working with young minds, and strongly believes that every learner has the ability to learn and grow to to their full potential, under the right conditions. His love for maths and determination to make a difference motivated him to join Numeric, and he hopes to inspire the same love of maths in the kids. He enjoys reading novels and playing computer games.

  • Bassie Nkhereanye

    Bassie is driven, fun-loving and has tons of energy. Maths was always one of his favourite subjects at school and his passion for the subject as well as his love of teaching and learning not only motivated him to join Numeric, but also to study education. In his spare time, he enjoys watching TV and hanging out with friends and fellow coaches.

  • Nobuhle Nkosi

    Nobuhle is an Education student at the University of Johannesburg. She has an extrovert personality and finds maths fun because of the challenge it brings. She loves working with children and always feels good about herself whenever she brings a positive impact to the kids.

  • Thabo Selepe

    Thabo is currently a student at the University of Johannesburg, enrolled in Bachelors of Education and doing his third year. Working with kids is his passion. He has been working with kids since high school, mostly in creative arts. After matric, he was involved with an NGO organisation called Ikmava Youth to try and reach township high school learners to help them to access universities.

  • Paseka Sello

    Paseka Sello is from Katlehong in the East Rand. He is studying Education at the University of Johannesburg majoring in Mathematics and Physical Sciences. His passion is to make a positive difference in other people's lives and believes the best way to achieve this is through education. He also believes that equipping learners with education would be changing their lives for the better. He always wanted to teach because he wants to touch lives.

  • Lerato Seoke

    Lerato Seoke was born and raised in the Eastrand of Gauteng. He has always been interested in numbers since he was a child and maths has become what he is passionate about because it revolves around his circle of interest. He has a great sense of humour and enjoys working with other people to reach a common goal. He loves seeing other people happy, especially kids. It's what completes him.

  • Tsheliwe Shongwe

    Tsheliwe is from Protea South, Soweto, and is doing her second year in education at UJ majoring in Life Sciences and Mathematics. She is a lively character who enjoys reading, teaching and WWE! Tsheliwe embraces diversity and believes that everyone has goodness and greatness inside them, they just need a bit of inspiration to release the magic. Her family is her greatest asset and is thankful for the role they have played in her education thus far.

  • Lumko Sophazi

    Lumko is a conservative and an extrovert who enjoys seeing people happy. He grew up in a rural area and loves nature, sport and mathematics. Lumko believes that education is a prerequisite of happiness. He did not always enjoy maths but with the help of Numeric, he wants to help others realise that maths is fun.

  • Nokwanda Zondi

    Nokwanda is an amazing chilled and bubbly individual. She was born and raised in Soweto, then became a student teacher at the university of Johannesburg majoring in mathematics and IsiZulu. She enjoys being in a classroom environment and is fulfilled knowing that she has instilled a seed of knowledge in the young minds. She loves music with all her soul.
